Thrombophilia (sometimes called hypercoagulability or prothrombotic state) is an abnormality in blood clotting that increases the risk of thrombosis (formation of a clot within a vessel).

Thrombophilia screening aims to reveal a hereditary or acquired predisposition to thrombosis.

In fact, it is recommended in cases if you have one of the following parameters:

1. More than one episode of venous thrombosis
2. Idiopathic, i.e. unexplained thrombosis at any age
3. Venous thrombosis <45-50 years old
4. Recurrent miscarriages
5. Thrombosis during pregnancy or taking contraceptives
6. Thrombosis in an unusual part of the body
7. Family history of thrombosis or hereditary thrombophilia

Every CHECK UP package is performed privately.
